If you had to choose one, which would it be:A) Pacer
B) Gremlin
C) walk
Lynn, you left out Toyota hybrid. 😀
Toyota anything for that matter - they just keep going...err is it...Moving Forward.
Let's add Pinto to that list.

I use to have A which caused me to do a lot of C, so I'd have to choose D - none of the above.
Not really. I was basing the question of the picture of the Gremlin and the fact the Pacer had a similar look (though bigger back window).

This is for all of you who are perturbed with the postings that you are seeing. I have read your replies and feel that you are all out of line and unless you have developed psychic powers, have no right to question the motives or reasons of those who post. He who is without sin, cast the first stone. If you do not like the post, do not insult the inquirer an expose your arrogance, for lack of a better word... simply do not respond to the post inquirer. Above all, remember this is not your web site, so show respect for everyone. if you want to be respected. Seems to me that you should al have better things to do...like get back to work!
I would disagree with this. Many of us posting here have, in fact, made similar mistakes. We own up to them, and there are plenty of admissions that we have in fact, mis-posted, or mis-assumed something.
I do see that someone posting what appears to be a homework question or interview question, can expect someone to question them. Especially if they have not made an effort to solve it. It's not that we would refuse to help someone with homework, but that we don't want to do it for them. I would encourage people to question that motives of the poster.
I do think the mocking gets a little out of hand at times, and I try to police that a bit. If you have specific complaints, please raise them.

Pacer had so much glass aquarium seems better than just a 'bigger back window'.:-P
Now between walking for me and the Gremlin X, is the Gremlin a V8?

My father had a penchant for cheap cars whilst I was maturing, had me driving not only a Pinto, but a Mercury Bobcat, then two or three Ford Festivas. (My brother wrecked a couple. Totaled one by running into a stop sign)
I'm still working up the courage to ask him why he doesn't love us...

My Dad had a pacer when I was a young child. He was in the Air Force and we were stationed in Germany. I still get a laugh out of picturing our family in the pacer out on the Autobahn!

I had a 1990 Ford Festiva 5-speed. It was trooper. Went 30,000 miles without an oil change once. Car was totalled in a four car accident with 141,000+ miles.
Very good car.

I owned two different Pacers. One worked great unless it rained. Then, if you splashed through a puddle more than 1/2 deep, it would immediately stall. Great fun, especially on dates. The other one picked and chose when it would start and how. Sometimes it started off the ignition, just a like a real car. Other times you had to push start it. Other times it wouldn't start. One day... I walked away and left it parked somewhere near here: http://www.bing.com/maps/#JmNwPXI0cHozODkzMGQxZCZzY2VuZT0xMzc2NjEyMCZsdmw9MSZzdHk9YiZydHA9YWRyLn5wb3MuNDIuOTM5OTE5MzAzNjI4NzFfLTcwLjc5NDc5NzAzNTEyMTE2X18nVW50aXRsZWQlMjBpdGVtJ19fYV8mbW9kZT1EJnJ0b3A9MH4wfjB+
So, to whoever found it, I hope you had fun with it.

All of this sounds like my childhood growing up.
Countless mornings giving my dad a pushstart so he could get to work. We had a pinto.

Yeah, great car, unless you hit something. Anything. But I digress, you were defending his lack of concern for our safety? Please continue...

Did you catch that I had 141,000+ miles on the car? I was driving that car DAILY between Colorado Springs and Denver (90 miles one way to work at the time) for the 3.5 years we owned the car.
First mechanical work on the car was at 101,000 miles, right front toe arm. Replaced ORIGINAL spark plugs, rotor, distributor cap and wires at 105,521 miles (gas milage had dropped from 50 MPG to 40 MPG). Brake work was done sometime between the two events.

You know, it may be the DBCC TimeWarp, but it looks like the car may still be there! 😉

Hi,
anybody of you folks influenced by the volcano eruption on Iceland?
We're getting low on components supplied by a U.S. company because there are no flights to Europe since last Friday...
The parts are waiting at the airport ready to go....
Side note: When searching the net for more info I stumbled across this interesting link. It shows the global flight activities within 24hrs. Impressive.
Edit: typo fixed.

No effect here, but I know a few people that have cancelled trips to PASS Europe because they can't get flights.
