I've been out of Twitter-touch lately, but did you guys see this? Library of Congress is archiving every single tweet ever made?Goggle already has them anyway.
Yes, but this is the first time I've seen a govt agency (openly) state they are storing them. 1000 years from now, someone will think we're morons, and will use it as proof of evolution :hehe:

Don't usually say this, but going to be in meetings for a few days, so I'll be even less active than I have been recently. Also have something going on every night this week until I head to Atlanta on Friday for SQLSaturday 41. Anyone else going to be there?

Nope, but heading for NYC for SQL Saturday 39. I hear we're getting Andy Leonard. You guys jealous?
Actually, I'm pretty excited to see Andy again. He's on my favorite people list.

I'm jealous. We work for the same parent company now, and haven't had the chance to meet him yet. Tell him he has to come to SQLSat 42 in Columbus.

I went to one of those male griming parlours at the weekend. They give you a beer and you sit for 20 minutes while they fiddle with your fingernails, putting in just the right amount of dirt for you to be cool.

Wow are right about that!! It seems there is a troubling increase in "lazy" DBAs out there that don't seem to want to help themselves before posting questions here.

This is for all of you who are perturbed with the postings that you are seeing. I have read your replies and feel that you are all out of line and unless you have developed psychic powers, have no right to question the motives or reasons of those who post. He who is without sin, cast the first stone. If you do not like the post, do not insult the inquirer an expose your arrogance, for lack of a better word... simply do not respond to the post inquirer. Above all, remember this is not your web site, so show respect for everyone. if you want to be respected. Seems to me that you should al have better things to do...like get back to work!

This has nothing to do with sin and everything to do with what some people do, or more precisely don't do, when posting questions on SSC or any of the other forums. If we choose to gripe about those posts on this particular thread, that is our choice. It allows us to vent our frustrations with others of a similar mind. In addition, if you have bothered to read this entire thread, you will also realize that it is more than a gripe session, it is actually a water cooler. We discuss much more than just bad posts, we ask each other to look at other threads where help is needed, we discuss issues of interest to each other beyond SQL Server.
Before you condemn us, perhaps you should walk in our shoes.
