I was flying back from Texas on the 1st, and the pilot told everybody that the airport was closed due to an emergency, and we were diverting to Dayton (45 minutes away, more or less). I thought it was a joke right off the bat, but then started second-guessing because he waited a good five minutes before he fessed up.That was a pretty good one.
I imagine a lot of people were somewhat annoyed, then relieved, and then annoyed again.

Speaking of funny things; My boss in our meeting today passed out the swag from sales people that have visited him in the past year or so. I ended up with a red "Oracle" hat as a joke. I'm thinking about taking a black sharpie to it and making a circle with a line over the word Oracle and wearing it to the next team meeting.

Yeah, but they were already flying somewhere, so annoyed was a given :hehe:

Hah, I was reading that and got to passed and immediately thought gas. Then read the next word "out" and thought what a shame. The Oracle hat is funny too. I like the Sharpie idea though - that is funny too.

Hey Steve, I just saw a post from SiteOwners and see that they have 10,000+ pts. We don't see them in the points shakedown. Why is that? Are they ranked at all?

Oddity in the forums. I just noticed that I lost 27 points today. Am curious where they could have gone.

The entity known as "The Thread" randomly deducts points that were posted is said entity.

Those 27 points were from bad jokes that did not deserve any points.

If that's true, I should probably have a negative points total. 🙂

Hmmm, remove points for bad jokes. I might need to get a big purple button on each post for enforcing that.
