Where is Gail? I havent seen her... Anyone has any news? She's doing fine. We've exchanged email a bit. She's busy working on her masters thesis. We'll only see her around intermittently. I've seen her on twitter a few times too. She's just crazy busy right now.
I guess that we can safely assume that it wasn't her that posted those exam questions for their Master's level DB course? 😀
( Heh, hope she doesn't see this.:ermm: Praying to the all-mighty Thread to cover it in avalanch of posts today ... )

I'll go out on a limb and agree that it probably wasn't her.

That is not much of a limb - more like standing on a tree trunk to say it is not her.

Taking a long, long break from the forums. Stuff's getting on my nerves and it wass getting to the point that I was dreading looking at the day's posts.

I'm not even doing databases. 😉 Doing stuff lots more complex, like this - http://sqlinthewild.co.za/index.php/2010/01/28/genetic-algorithms/
Last exam I had to sit was 4 years ago and was 'Research in computing' - the theory of research methodology, process, ethics, etc. I can dig up some of the questions from the tutorial for that if you want, they were hairy to say the least... 😀
p.s. if you want to contact me, mail or twitter. I'm not following threads here, not answering PMs.
p.p.s. The posted questions were far from M.Sc level. At best, the person's doing introductory databases as a subject (perhaps a filler/elective) as part of their M.Sc. Or the person's exaggerating, trying to sound more important than they are.

Yeah, I also have a feeling that a certain someone told her too. Someone whose fancy space ship might have an unfortunate "accident" in the near future. 😎 If ya know wadda mean.

I was flying back from Texas on the 1st, and the pilot told everybody that the airport was closed due to an emergency, and we were diverting to Dayton (45 minutes away, more or less). I thought it was a joke right off the bat, but then started second-guessing because he waited a good five minutes before he fessed up.
That was a pretty good one.

That was a good one but I think had I been on the plane I would of, at first, been as angry as a few of the people who angrily commented on the QOD the Index article. :w00t:

I had fun at our last (Apr 8th) PASS Chapter meeting. During the "intro" presentation I just had to let out a "Oh, I almost forgot. Did you know that the next version of SQL will not support NULLs?"
Of course this brought on all kinds of responses like no way, or can't be, what?, .... etc.
I ended it by saying: "You don't believe me? Go to sqlservercentral.com - Editotials (I could see 1 person going there as I was saying it) and look at what Steve Jones posted on ... April ..... 1st" It only took a few seconds before a few people started to laugh.
BAZINGA!!! 😛
