Are the posted questions getting worse?

Conrgats, Gus! After 11 years, my wife and I got a honeymoon this year. Hoping we'll renew here at some point.

Have to be close to home as a cranky Steve on the road might not get another "I do" 🙂

When I was getting the new engagement ring, I joked with some friends, "Oh my God! What will I do if she says, 'no'?" 😀

  • 🙂 Thanks for filling the boredom. All the scenarios fit my criteria.

It will be 17 years of maritial bliss for me in July.

I also scan my network for unknown sql servers just incase one pops up. We have many remote sites. The network engineers install new 3rd party systems that have sql server as their database at these remote sites. When I started here I took over the maintenance on them. The network engineers usually let me know well in advance that a new system is being deployed but occasionally one surfaces that I didn't know about.

I think a Cranky [any person] would get a no rather than an I do. 😉

You would have been saved from Bigamy? You would have still had your first wife to fall back on? 😎

Hmmmm ... definitely wouldn't want that to be a monitored process, so I guess it would have to be manual fail-over. Which could easily be turned into quite the innuendo!

Maybe I misunderstood, but this sure looks to me like someone asking how to hack SQL Server. Am I way off?

Lynn made an excellent point to the op and something IT people really should think about. This is one of my personal rules. Lynn said, "Just because you could doesn't mean you should."

Well, I'm going to try and get myself to finally take one of the MS Exams.

I'm going to see if I can prepare myself for: 70-433 Microsoft SQL Server 2008, Database Development

Not saying its a walk in the park , but i didnt find it to taxing.

    70-451 is next for me,

That's good to know. If all goes well, I'll probably try 70-451 afterwards.

    Thanks

So am I right in saying that for SQL 2008 certifications there's 2 exams whereas SQL 2005 had 3?

  • Okay, does this mean I should break down and get sertified as well?? I mean, it's looking like more of the denizens of The Thread are making that step.

    It couldn't hurt.

Well, maybe it will hurt but I doubt it.

    I think it is advertising.

I do however think that it could be worth an ad spot in the newsletter. But it also appears like a hit and run. They haven't responded back yet to comments already left there.
