My recent favorite is having a consulting company come int o discuss possible outsourcing the UI for a project. They asked if we used Linq to SQL. I said, "Sure you can use Linq to call my stored procedures". At least my boss on this project listens to me about SQL Server.

And then the next day you get a call from your manager who explains exactly why you'll be doing whatever heinously stupid operation it is that the developer decided they wanted to do.Do we work at the same place?
Same story.
At least they've stopped walking me down to apologize. Last couple of times I took advantage of it to describe in further detail just how criminally stupid they were.

That was funny, especially as I was working on an Apr 1 QOD with DBCC Timewarp (suggested by Alvin) at the time.

Before we have a DBA contest some one is going to have to define what a DBA does first.............According to Buck Woody a DBA is a Default Blame Acceptor. Kind of like being a husband.:-P

That would be good, especially with how sensitive people have been lately to loosing points off of what they consider vague or poorly written questions. It would be also funny to have the discussion on the question stacked with posts from the regulars.

Oh that would be too much fun. To culminate it, nobody would reveal it until the next day, buahahaha.
-5 pts should be a great one - make the question look real serious.
