...master of the high velocity pork chop. 😛
20,022 posts 5 minutes ago. Here's a BIG friggin' beer to the old git who taught me most of what I know about TSQL, and most of all, to think about what I'm doing. I don't always get it right Jeff, but that's my failing, not yours.
Well done Jeff - and thanks 😎
Cheers

What's the deal with these points anyway?
Didn't I see Lynn pass 10,000 just the other day, and now he has nearly 12,000?
I cannot believe he has posted 2,000 times in the interim.
What gives?

One point for each post, points for correctly answering QotD according the the number granted by the question.
If you look at the http://www.sqlservercentral.com/TotalScores page, Lynn has 11813 points total, 9960 of them from posting in the forums, the rest from answering the QotD.

BTW, in case it looks like I'm singling out Lynn, I'm not intending to: he just came to mind since, like Jeff, he passed a milestone recently.
I kinda knew how the points were made up, it just struck me as remarkable how quickly they seem to accumulate sometimes.

Tell me about it. How can summer be over already? 🙁
Freak storm over here this afternoon - roofs ripped off, trees knocked over etc.
The temperature dropped from 22°C to 10°C in ten minutes.
Made the news, it did.
