Of Topic...On an average how many people attend SQLSaturdays?
The 3 Orlando ones have been between 225-275. I think they've been as small as 75-100 and as big as 450-500. Most common number is around 200 I think.

#34 in Boston went well over 300 (approximately 325) and it was my understanding that we were one of the two or three near the top (not at the top, that one was, I believe in Tampa).

And it is also a reason why I would love to get into a consulting gig. There are downsides. I've just spent 3 weeks writing documentation and reports (til midnight most nights). Not sure I even remember how to write a query anymore.
Sorry to hear it, Gail. Heh, I've been a professional consultant for 25 years now, why do you think I spend so much time on the forums? 😀

Let me refresh your memory. Here's what a query looks like:
Select * from employees where firstname+lastname like '%john%doe%'
order by lastname+firstname

You have an echo, Gail. I nearly wasted a mouthful of beer reading the OP's reply to your post.

Look at the times of the posts. I was editing mine and adding the stuff about management studio while he was posting a reply. No one echoed the other this time. I do apologise to both you and your monitor/keyboard for the near-loss of beer and associated near-damage.
Kinda a relief, It frustrates me when people post replies and repeat almost exactly what I said minutes or hours earlier.

You know, I was just thinking,
It really frustrates me when people post replies and repeat almost exactly what I said minutes or hours earlier
does anyone else feel that way?

It depends. I will do it sometimes to emphasize what was said. I will try to add something to it if I can think of anything.

Somehow I suspect the latter. 🙂

hmmm.
Jason must not be paying attention. I thought George was asking a serious question. (To segue from Gails post.)

Thanks for giving me a count on the number of attendees for SQL Saturday.
A theoretical question....
If a SQL Saturday was arranged in our tiny island of Curacao, Would any of you ladies and Gents show up for it? 🙂
