Oh, and hey, Steve, do you really hand-convert Word articles to use that horrible XStandard thing? I just tried it with my two articles. Four hours later, and more crashes than I care to count, I have developed a distinct dislike for it.

Have article readers always been as critical as they have been of this article?
http://www.sqlservercentral.com/Forums/Topic874846-2631-1.aspx
I admire those of you who put yourselves out there to write the articles and really hate when they get bashed. Article writting is a talent I don't have.

Some days we see people being more critical than others (take todays QOD for instance). There is an ebb and flow to it. I don't agree with the critical nature of that thread. I think many of those being critical need to try writing an article and have it published some days.
If there was an egregious error, then point it out and explain. No need to bicker on and on about it.

NFL Football teamAnd I would (genuinely) guess at Chicago. But why ask about the Bears?
It's a meme isn't it. I was never any good at memes.
Yes. That particular phrasing was 'enmemed' by a Saturday Night Live skit from the 80's with John Belushi. (or am I confabulating that with a later Chris Farley skit? ... *sigh* getting old sux.)
Without help from Google.... The familiar face I recall from that series of skits was George Wendt, best known as Norm on "Cheers".

I think it was Farley and what's his name from Old School and Anchorman.

I too admire those who write articles.
Sometimes the discussions are very thought provoking, and you can learn a lot from them.
Discussion is good, especially good feedback into the how and the why one way may be better than another.

Mike Meyers, Chris Farley, Joe Mantegna, and Robert Smigel were the original cast. It's a good thing that Will Ferrell was not in it - we would have ruined it.

It's a meme - I had to look up the meaning of the word. I picked it up from an ex who'd lived and worked in Chicago for a number of years. She was exceptionally fond of memes and very talented at humourous twists on them, but this one was always used unchanged as a subject-changer, a double-whammy third-party non sequitur instigator, when she'd said or done something which she moments later realised was unacceptable.

That was almost as good as the sound effects from Tron.
Another one of those movies (Star Wars all but Episode 3) that my kids are hooked on these days.
