Can ask someone(s) to keep an eye on the corruption forum for the week please? I'm pretty much offline for the week. Thanks
We could ask Shoot, Ready, Aim to handle it in your absence. 😛
Have fun while on site>

If not Barry, Lynn, or Gus, it must be Jack. 😀After that - Gail, Andy, Tim, K. Brian Kelley, Steve, and Jeff are already MVP's.
Or maybe even Jason!
I'd say you deserve it more than I do. (I know, that's not saying much.) 🙂
You too, are selling yourself short. You should have more confidance in yourself and what you do.
Lynn, I'm not selling myself short. I know for a fact that what I have done is not enough for MVP status.
I know I have done some good things and I am proud of that, especially considering that I've only been working in IT for 10 years. MVP requires more though.

Considering some of the people who have been chosen as MVP's, you are more than qualified, trust me. Plus, time working in IT really isn't a criteria for this. If it were, I'd think my 30+ years would mean more, but it doesn't. I started as a computer operator in the Air Force and have slowly grown over the years. My wife would tell you I am under-employed based on my experience and education.
Do I feel qualified for such an award? Yes and no. In some ways I have done quite a bit to spread knowledge and hopefully some wisdom. In other ways I don't feel I have done enough. I haven't tried hard enough to get involved in the local users group, of course they meet on a church night which doesn't help. I haven't blogged as much as I think I should. I haven't written that many articles, either. And as for writing a book, I don't even seem to have time to read a book to write a review for Steve.

Much the same as you. I am not selling myself short - just know / feel that there is much more that i could/should do. I think I would be in the same boat as anybody else here if i were to be nominated. I mean that in the fact that I would be honored, humbled, and wouldn't turn it down.
I see my qualifications as knowing that I need to help more, write more articles, blog better, and maybe someday write that book. I really want to get our local PASS Chapter functioning better.

Don't make me laugh.
I know for certain that one is a no.
Not even on the same level as you guys.
I don't know - I'd nominate you just for your judicious choice of avatars...:)

All this MVP talk. What I like is that no one mentioned thinks that they deserve it. To me that is one of the key qualifications. If you are contributing to the community to get the status, then you certainly aren't working in the spirit of the award.
Would I like to be an MVP, sure at least once. Following MVP's on twitter last week during the MVP Summit made me wish I was there. I'd make the time and money to get there.

I agree. I had feelings akin to those during summit2009. Living vicariously just makes you feel like there is something you are missing. Their tweets were interesting to follow.

I know I am quoting myself here, but I left out Grant. I know there are others that are probably missing. This was unintentional.

Add one more to the list of longing. I wish I could have gone as well. Assuming I make MVP again, I'm going to make a point of getting out there somehow next year.

I thought that during the weekend the MVP talk would have been done and finished with. Seems like it is still going strong... 🙂 MVP season is in the air..:-)

Questions seem okay right now. Some of the answers have been abysmal recently. I guess it balances out somehow.
