Which app is best suited for the crackberry and twitter?

    Personally, I'm still digging UberTwitter

I must stink at my job because I've got BOL open most of the time. I'm just not smart enough to remember everything. Must be why I'm not certified.

Has anyone noticed the success/failure rate on the QOD today?

74% incorrect for Paul Randal's question on Checksum. Numbers are similar to his question the other day.

The Correct% always jumps way up on the next working day after. See if you can guess why ... 😀

hmm, why? Because some people aren't smart enough to cheat on the same day? 😀

Heh. Basically, yeah. The daily newsletter always has the previous days answer. After it goes out correct hits suddenly spike. I noticed it the first time the one time I had a QOD. First day Correct% was about 30% at midnight, by the middle of the next day it was over 70%. Hmm, those second day answerers sure are smart. ... 🙂

Oh jeez, I'm so stupid. I never even thought about that. No wonder everyone gets so many points. Here I am trying to honestly answer the questions... I need to find a new line of work.

Not sure what happened, working on a timewarp restore now, as soon as I can get the pwd from IT

Funny, I never thought I'd read a statement like that outside of an SF story! 🙂

Well, looks like I'm gonna have fun over the next few days. I've decided to upgrade my laptop to Win7 - 64 bits. I love re-installing all my software!!!!

Enjoy. Be careful if you use iTunes. I had issues on one machine w/ x64, another worked.

Thanks, I do use iTunes, but I don't need it on the laptop. I can run it on the netbook.

It's a Toshiba laptop. What could go wrong???? :w00t:

wow, bravery in action. I think mine is officially a paperweight now too, recovery CD won't even reformat the disk.

In that particular case, with the identity column as primary key clustered, yes, doesn't it?

Logical order of the index - yes

Physical order of the data - no

Order that the rows will be returned in - no.

Ok, it's not guaranteed and I would not rely on it, but honestly I have to say I've never seen it behaving differently.

I've been spending some time trying to make it return rows in a different order, but I did not succeed. Does anybody have a script to do that? It would be interesting to see.

It's like the Yeti, just because you've never seen it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. 😛

Mine is working fine, but I'd like to improve performance a bit. With 64 bits, I'll be able to boost the memory and get some improvement that way.

I'm not 100% sure I'm going to upgrade to 64 bits. There's a voice telling me to buy a new laptop instead. Decisions, decisions, decisions.

Hi, My name is Travis. (in tha back ground "Hi Travis"), I'm a Books Online Addict. lol. Isn't there a Quote somewhere from Einstein about not bothering to remember things he could look up quickly?

The import thing IMO is to know how to use the information not just memorize a bunch of text.

    I can't remember. Should I look it up? 😛

Edit: I did look it up.

According to this wiki, Albert Einstein once said: "I never commit to memory anything that can easily be looked up in a book."

That's how I see it too. I try to make all of my interview questions "Open Book". As far as I'm concerned, being able to look it up quickly is almost as good as knowing it off the top of your head.

I got the checksum question wrong by the way - fell into the 'single bit error' bear trap 😎

I used Paul's blog on the topic. He had a post to debunk some myths about checksum. Answers weren't stated outright but could be derived from that article. I spent about ten minutes on that question - got it right woot.
