Ok - Thread commandeered. Should we go all french all the time?

Jy kan, maar ek nie Frans praat nie. Miskien sal ek Arikaans of isiZulu praat.

As die beste soos google kan doen, ek sal probeer om by te bly met jou.

    πŸ™‚

Die probleem is dat google kry net wat jy tot dusver, maar ten minste is dit understans afrikaans beter as die Franse jy gesoek het met behulp van voor.

I agree. Google is horrific at translating French.

Wel, ek verstaan nie Frans of afrikaans nie, maar kan dit verstaan deur dit te vertaal.

Now I don't find Zulu translator, all I know about Zulu was when back in 1999 when I read about Lance Klusener's nick name.

Hey Jason. I don't know what triggerred this thought, but the word Mentor just made me think of the French word: menteur.

Let's hope the 2 words don't apply to the the same person.

Your spelling in French is just as good as in English. πŸ˜€

  • I'm only fluent in American. I barely speak English. My French is beyond pathetic. I don't remember enough Classical Latin or Greek for it to be useful for anything but word derivations. My Spanish is merely really bad, much better than my French. (In Spanish, I merely sound mentally impaired. In French, I sound like a coma would be a step up.) Though, as I think I've mentioned before, I'm pretty fluent at Igpa Atinlay, but that's just American with a twist.

I used to know some AMSLAN, but only at a beginner level.

I also spent a lot of time around some Italians a few years back, and now I speak fluent "gesticulations". Doesn't actually communicate anything, but makes whatever you're saying in a spoken language look more ... something.

There's always one in every crowd, but something tells me we may have a whole room full in this thread. I'm glad I've got such fine company!!! πŸ˜›

I lived in Germany for four years. It used to be my second language. That was when I was very young. French is my third language but now is my second language.

You all go french, I will go malayalam. (My language) ... πŸ™‚

Merry and Mary... Not much difference... πŸ™‚

Now, remember here we talk Ingelish-lah.

  • And now I read a bit farther and see that you're not Malaysian at all (sorry). But being from Kerala would explain any peppery comments you threw at me, right?

[physic]Hmmm.... with Barry, Gail and Lynn involved, I sense an article in the future[/physic]

I'm not sure that's the tag you wanted, Wayne.

Dictionary definition: physic noun: a purging medicine; stimulates evacuation of the bowels

Heh. Well, I did have a Colonoscopy yesterday (seriously), so Wayne was more accurate than he may have thought! πŸ˜€
