Well, while we're adding pictures: For a potentially limited time only, the goofy looking guy in the picture on my posts is indeed me. I took the picture myself with my phone, so if the photography looks horrible, it's all George Bush's fault. 😛

Hmmm...I had pictured you more with a beard. Alas that was Alvin.

I pictured a 20-something surfer/snowboard "dude" - not that you're not mind you! 😀 Kind of like voices on the phone - my expectations, based on voice, are always WAY off when I finally meet the person.

I don't currently have a beard. Have had one before, will probably grow one again.

It's been a while since I was 20-something. And, while I don't surf or snowboard (I used to ski), I am from California and used to call everyone "dude" or "babe" or "gorgeous". Does that count?

  • Words may be more important than actions. And since the surfer dude is a persona - sure. You are dubbed a 20yr old surfer dude.

Hey, you used the lingo (as did I) and I haven't seen 20-something in more years than I care to admit. We need some kind of "cool" (do they still say cool anymore???) group name to fit our age and persona. "Groovy old geeks" just won't cut it! 😀

How about "O.L.D." = "Old L33t Dudes" (self-contained accronym, kind of like GNU).

My daughters (11 to 19) don't call me dinosaur, just "Old Man", except out on the soccer pitch since I keep up with high school kids pretty well for 90 minutes.
