Well you see Steve, Jeff, Barry, Grant, Jack , Gail, Alvin, Bob (active posters in this thread) are all on vacation / holiday mood and no one responded.

    I'm still here.

Yes, but you seem to have been pretty quiet.

Last minute Christmas shopping, a short session with Guitar hero and more battles with the VM. Though, I do seem to be winning that one, finally.

Understandable...:-P.. at first sight I thought not to reply and leave the thread, but wanted to suggest one last time about Google, Just killing time at work reading a SQL Book and switching on to SSC in between.

I'm starting to notice a trend in a few questions where people expect tables to store records in a specific order. Anyone else seeing that trend?

(Okay, two posts don't make a trend, but it could be the start ... 😛 )

Yeah, I've seen an increase in that recently. More and more people who are being rotely trained on SQL commands, but who don't take the time and effort to understand anything about relational definitions.

I agree... I can't put my finger on all of them but I know I've seen a fair number this past week. It's a shame... they're usually thrown into SQL Server with no clue and usually not given the time to learn anything. Since they were the ones thrown into SS, that also means they usually don't have anyone they can turn to. We need to treat these poor buggers with some serious kindness and understanding.

Of course, there are those (we can usually tell who they are) that just don't give a hoot about learning anything... Those are the folks that get the BOL finger and maybe a pork chop or two. 😛

    I'm still here.

That was sent when you all were not online... 🙂 and our friend wanted your help..

3 of you (Grant, Jack and you) have all responded after that post and I am sure Alvin is gone for the rest of the day and Steve is gone Skiing... Haven't heard much from Barry recently.

Any way the picture you posted earlier today was good, and was a great work.

I'm around, just not feeling well so not interested in thinking much today.

Oh well, some of us like the hopeless cases. Now, where did I leave that halo? 😛

Heh... me too... now where did I leave that pork chop launcher? :w00t:

I totally expected somebody to do it better. It was no surprise to see it. I just wanted to demonstrate a little "fun" on my birthday. A little demo on forward and backward types of recursion.

    I did like your script.

True Cardinal Moden, and it is very easy to identify them in just one or two posts. Those that wish to learn quickly grasp the subjects while others just keep asking why and whining. 😉

Heh... and to calm the other fears that you spoke of in a PM... only those that study your good code example will actually realize the power of the "gen" code you used. If they do, they deserve the knowledge that you've bestowed upon them. Well done, Jason.
