Where do you call home?
The pity is I don't call any place as home as of now.
I was born and brought up in India, (South India) worked there for few years and came to US and working as contractor. Had been working in places like New Jersey, Virginia, Texas and now in Lancaster, PA.

Any well paying jobs for SQL Server Guru wanna be's?
Had an opportunity way back in 1989 to go to work for REECO. Would have been working up outside Tonapa (definately misspelled that one!).

Understand. I was stationed in England for 2.5 years many many years ago, home was still Colorado.

Right now, I would say it is sparse. There are openings for BI (Stacia Misner type of stuff - and she hails from here in town), or JR type stuff. Most people in a SR role are unwilling to move positions down here (hit really hard by economy), thus not really creating much else.
If you are a DB developer type, then the possibilities are greater. I know of three or four openings at companies that my cohorts at the local PASS chapter are trying to fill.

Might be, just keeping my options open. Pretty secure here for now, but who knows a year from now.

That was sent when you all were not online... 🙂 and our friend wanted your help..
3 of you (Grant, Jack and you) have all responded after that post and I am sure Alvin is gone for the rest of the day and Steve is gone Skiing... Haven't heard much from Barry recently.
Any way the picture you posted earlier today was good, and was a great work.

Last minute Christmas shopping, a short session with Guitar hero and more battles with the VM. Though, I do seem to be winning that one, finally.

Even if I had been online, I wouldn't have helped. I know nothing about SQLMail and our friend is on my personal blacklist at the moment.

I'm starting to notice a trend in a few questions where people expect tables to store records in a specific order. Anyone else seeing that trend?(Okay, two posts don't make a trend, but it could be the start ... 😛 )
I think it's a natural assumption for folks who've just started using a relational db. If they've used Excel, for instance, it may be even more difficult to realize the difference between db tables and spreadsheets.
Anyway, Merry Christmas/Happy Chanukah/Peaceful Ramadan/Happy Kwanza to all!
