Am I missing something with this thread?

    http://www.sqlservercentral.com/Forums/Topic836986-146-1.aspx

Seems odd to ask on a forum for the reason that a drive is missing from a server.

You're not missing anything. The OP is, and I don't mean the drive.

RotFL. That was almost a coffee-over-keyboard moment. Thanks.

    Along the same lines...

    http://www.sqlservercentral.com/Forums/Topic837059-146-1.aspx

Testing? What is this 'testing' that you speak of?

Upon reading that thread, my immediate response was...

"Testing???? We don't need no stinkin' testing!!!!!!!"

    edit: to fix spelling

Of course, since the core issue is stated in the post's topic ("need immediate help!!!!!!"), we should understand that they don't have time to test.

If the OP says that directly, I would answer "if you don't have time to test, where will you find the time to fix it?"

The corollary question, How more annoyed do people come with each new way of asking the same question. πŸ˜›

Like we used to say where I used to work: "They can't find the time to do it right but they always find the time to do it twice."

    Only twice?

At least twice, but the requirements are guaranteed to change after the 2nd time.

Yeah, that one is clearly going to take some teeth pulling... or possibly kicking a few out.
