Are the posted questions getting worse?

  • Whoa!

From what I can see this person has tried to demonstrate some work, but good googly moogly, who is going to read all that stuff & eval it? Anyone want to try? I was tempted to post a message suggesting that they just ask for more targeted information as opposed to a complete design review.

I strongly suspect they're asking us to do their homework for them...I'd personally avoid it unless you feel you need to do penance to make up for some past SQL transgression. 😀

    from the post:

She is intended to purchase Oracle as the MIS Company's database management systems.

Yeah, and it looks like the problem relates to an Oracle database to boot.

Note, I asked if anyone else wanted to work on it. I'm doing all my penance locally.

  • I have a question about penance, Grant:

Can I repent if I'm not certain I have ever pented in the first place?

  • Speaking of funny looking, I got a "twas the night before Christmas" for next Thursday. I now need to go find an ugly Christmas sweater and a Santa hat.

  • Be sure to post up a picture, Steve. 😉

You're asking the wrong guy. I just date & marry Catholic girls. I'm not actually Catholic. I think I saw Kentucky Fried Movie once too often in my youth.

Of course you can! It's just a question of not enforcing referential integrity to the original penting. The constraint won't be trustworthy after that, but that's just one more thing you can pent for.

(Which leads to a whole slew of really bad puns about being "pent up".)

Isn't once, um, once too often?

  • Grant... I saw Kentucky Fried Movie wayyyy back when .... and your comment just gave me a sudden vision of a clown with a whip... an image I have suppressed for decades. :pinch:

As I recall, the title of the movie in the trailer was "Catholic High School Girls In Trouble." 😉

Yep. That's the one. I thought that was a documentary and have tried to live it ever since.
