It's a shame they're not doing this with a laden swallow...Yes, but African swallows are non-migratory.
They are? Or is that a Monty Python reference?
Pure Monty Python.

According to Wikipedia... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swallow
"Species breeding in more tropical areas are often more sedentary, although several tropical species are partial migrants or make shorter migrations."
The pic on the left has this caption...
"The Lesser Striped Swallow is a partial migrant within Africa"
So apparently they might be migratory after all?

The ones down here certainly are. That's why I was asking if it was a Monty Python reference or a factual statement that Gus was making.

Oh my god...
And I've based everything I know about nature and biology around Monty Python references. What's next, the Castle Anthrax is an unrealistic portrayal of medieval monastic orders?

Durban? Hell, no. I'm in JHB.
How close to District 9?
What's next, the Castle Anthrax is an unrealistic portrayal of medieval monastic orders?
Bad, wicked Zut.
I want to face the peril!
No, it's too perilous...

Ouch! That's just embarrassing.
Too bad you can't use this "technology" in an office environment.
Why not, just depends on what sort of birds you have in the office boom boom 😀
Because birds won't fly anywhere near CAT-5.
*ba-dum* Heey-oooo! 😀 😀
Ugh, I can't even compete with that...

No such place. It's based on the (in)famous District 6 in Cape Town.
The movie was filmed in Soweto, which is about 20km away from me, as the swallow flies.

Excellent! You should have that big grin on your face. Good job. I'm impressed.
Did you run even when you were sick? Or are you one of those people who don't get ill?

Yes, Gail, I know. I'm not that out of touch with reality.
I'm just pleased you caught the reference.

Oh, hey, Gail, I almost forgot. I remembere, barely, got to it during the Q&A, to put in a reference to the fiber optic laser beam assembler during 24 Hours of PASS. We shouldn't let this go with the Summit coming up.

And don't forget the sharks, or the laser beams are useless.
