Just wanted to let you all know that we had our first Pass Chapter meeting yesterday Yea...!!!. It went fine...:-) We had more people than I expected. I thought maybe 10 people will show up for the first meeting but we had 18 people in the room. And the best part is we already have 3 volunteers to do presentation for the coming months... Yaaaahooo..:-D
I was very nervous the past week. Now I am more relaxed. We got positive feedback from everyone who attended the meeting.
That's excellent! Congratulations. Well done, Roy. I hope it continues for you as it started.

Thanks Grant, I am hoping it will continue like this.
Alvin, This is a dream start for us. The island I reside in has only 100,000 people in it and to get this kind of response is just awesome. I hope to get more members. 🙂

Don't be worried if it doesn't. I'm only now, almost a year later, getting the same attendance I had for the first meeting last year Oct. If it dropps off next month, don't worry.

Wow. I'm in the middle of the largest city in Southern Africa with over 10x that many people and I don't have many more than you did.

Great job Roy, my local chapter which draws on a population of at least 300k only averages about that many. And 3 volunteers to speak, that's fantastic. Usually getting attendees to speak is like pulling teeth! Make sure you are continually encouraging the 3 that volunteered, if you don't, they may back out on you.

I second that emotion about getting volunteers to speak. We keep asking but no luck yet. Right Bob?

You guys are all getting about 20 people per meeting. We're getting ready to start our fourth year and still only have about 10 per. It's tough.

Yep, I'm in Memphis and I'm one of the founders of our PASS Chapter. Bob's one of our faithful members. (Poor Bob) 🙂
