Looking forward to this explanation!
One for the 'unique designs' pile. Very amusing. Thanks for the link.

We'll have to wait and see. Future posts may (or may not) prove otherwise. Of cousre if he continues like he has I'd be surprised to see many of us regulars pitching in to help. He may start getting more of the newbies stepping in instead.I don't know about the rest of you, but I've seen enough. He can get help from Bill O'Reilly but he'll never get help from me ever again.
I don't understand why 3 different people tried to help after his initial rude comment. Paul White rendered the only correct answer on that thread. 😉
Ha! His latest response puzzles me greatly.
I wonder how long his change of heart will last.
Luckily I wrote my list in indelible ink, so I will stop worrying about it now

Nice to see an apology though.

Sure is. Maybe I will invest in some heavy-duty ink remover if the change of heart proves to be genuine and lasting.
I will continue to breathe in and out at my normal rate in the interim however.

I don't have a personal blacklist, but I'm happy to walk away from a post/thread if someone can't respond or maintain a sense of decorum.and of course I get called when Lynn/Jeff/Gail/etc has an issue
Heh. Wel I'd call you too, if you'd just give me your pesonal number! 😀

Pretty cranky, to be honest.
My sixth day in the hospital, I'll get transferred to rehab tomorrow. The back/leg pain has been gone for 4 days, but my right lower quadrant is all numb. So nothing to do (no access to SQL, VS, Word, Excel, etc.) but sit in my hospital bed, browse the internet endlessly and swear at this stupid terminal/keyboard that makes it impossible for me to psot anything without numroues typoes in it.

That's odd.... I seem to be able to post numerous typos without being in a hospital bed at all. I wonder hwo I do taht? 🙂

Barry,
Please let me join the others in wishing you a speedy and full recovery. I'm glad to see your sense of humor has not been seriously dulled -- you got a chuckle from me with your comment about effective bandwidth being constrained. It seemed such an apt way for a techie to describe the frustrating sick-bed mental experience.

Nah... not those kinds of "calls", Barry. He means the emails coming from folks that occasionally cause some of us STRESS... sometimes I don't suppress the appropriate response and folks get a bit whiney about it in emails to Steve. Sometimes their whine is ligit... a lot of times it's a simple misunderstanding of the harshness of the written word without the necessary intonation... and sometimes folks deserve the sarcastic remarks but we back down out of respect for the forum and Steve. He's in a tough position and I don't envy the occasional fielding of complaints he has to do.
My recent stance is if someone wants to be stupid, I'll let them... there are too many good people who want or need our help. If we could just get everyone to take the same attitude and stop helping folks like that recent moroff with the Bill O'Reilly bobble-head in his pocket. I was totally flabbergasted that anyone helped on that thread.
