Don't you just love these? Of course when it starts, they don't bother to provide data that is represetative of the problem they are trying to solve.

    Heh. "Somebody's Gumpy" 😛

HEY! Good to see you around. Feeling better?

relatively. Massive steroid injections have done what the highest hospital-allowed dose of synthetic super-morphine could not: releived the continuous acute pain & inflamation. Still have chronic pain when I move, sit up or stand up. Got a catheter yesterday and got to hear for the first time that particular "Top 10 Lies to Guys", "This Won't Hurt a Bit." :w00t::w00t::w00t:. Those sweet nurses really beleived it too.

I've already had two major back operations: in 1989 and 1978.

Ow. Not good. Hope you're feeling better soon.

I really hope things get better. Although I don't have back issues (yet), my mom broke her back over fourty years ago, and has had nothing but problems since. Things weren't pretty back then, and it is one of the reasons I stay away from prescription pain killers unless absolutely needed.

I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

  • Okay Barry, reading about your hospital stay reminds me that I truly have no problems and should quit my bitching. I will say a little prayer for your speedy recovery. Get well soon.

Lynne, I will have another go at T. in a couple of hours... after the keyboard marks fade.

Morning Alvin.... regular... how is *your* day?

Oh. My. That's in the 'ten-foot barge pole' category.

There's something that bothers me about that. Should someone who appears to not know how to copy a file be responsible for a production database?

Why limit that question? I'd ask, "Should someone who appears to not know how to copy a file be in any sort of IT capacity for anyone at all?"

No arguments there. Sometimes I think people need to be told to step away from the keyboard.

Actually, they shouldn't be allowed near a computer in any capacity. I think McDonalds is hiring burger flippers. 😛

  • I just registered for the 24 Hours of SQL Server. That's going to be a long 2 day period. Looks like it should be an informative 24 hour period.

I need to be sure to check my supply of coffee.

Did you register for the whole lot? All 24 sessions?

  • A guy last night at the Denver meeting said he wanted to do the 24 hours. Crazy.
