... Made the mistake of buying season 1 and 2 of Battlestar Galactica. Should have rented those. That was before my Netflix addiction kicked in solidly.
Gee, if I had the money I'd offer to buy them from you. 😉

E-mail me an address and they're yours. Frees up space on my shelves. (I have a LOT of movies that I like to watch repeatedly. For those, I buy the DVD. I have both HD-DVD and Blu-Ray players, and some of each, plus tons of just plain old DVDs. I add more on a regular basis. So, freeing up space is worth the cost of postage.)

Whatever DVDs/boxed sets that you have that Lynn doesn't want, send my way. I'll even pay the postage! Just to help free up some space of course 😛
Edit - See Alvin's post about clarifying "whatever". Thanks Alvin! 😉

Yeah, I'd pay postage on stuff you want to get rid of as well. Post the list. We'll make claims.

"Whatever"? You might want to define exactly what you mean by "Whatever". You never know what he might send your way.

So, the suggestion is buy a DVR to achieve functionality that can be accomplished by getting the DVDs from Netflix?
Buy? Nah, part of my cable box. extra $4 or something a month. And I just rent movies off of the cable box.

I like Alvin's idea that the recipient could be surprised by what arrives. :w00t:

With Gus, you never know. Can you say frozen pork chop to the cranium?? I'd pay to see it but not to be the receipient!

I'm a little jealous. My wife isn't a big movie fan so we don't go, and I don't have NetFlix because it's just not the same if your wife doesn't want to watch with you. Back in high school and college I saw every major movie.
Don't have a DVR, but wish I had gotten it with my DirectTV, but went with the HD Receiver instead and will NEVER go back to standard definition.
I gotta admit that I would probably get more done if I didn't have TV though.

I don't watch very much TV at home. It is useally on the Disney Channel a lot. You'd think my kids would get tired of the same shows over and over again (as bad as the Energizer Bunny...).

Since it's summer time here in the US the few shows that are interesting are all reruns. Combine that with the extra long days it's amazing the amount of yard work I can get accomplished.
I have to add one more thumbs up for the DVR. I installed a DVR from the cable company prior to the NHL playoffs this year and I can't tell you what a joy it was to be able to fast forward through commercials, the intermission reports etc... No more talking heads, just action.

Having a DVR is great. It does allow me to watch my shows when I can get the TV.

I turned my TV into an aquarium... that way there's always something good on and it's never the same thing twice. Using the DVR motor for the pump.

I'd try that, but I'd be afraid I'd pick up Dr. Seuss. "One fish, two fish, dead fish, blue fish..."
