My Twitter account just got suspended for suspected abuse. I wasn't abusing anything. This stinks. According to the documentation, they can suspend it for up to 30 days.
Uh-oh, I might be next. Might have been the use of the word "porn". That's probably an automatic or something.

It's clear now. I'm not sure why it was revoked, but I guess they recognize the mistake. I won't be using the word "Porn" again any time soon.

My favorite Terry Prachett book is "The Fifth Elephant." Poor Vimes... my next favorite after that would be the book about Death.
Mort is my favourite, closely followed by Sourcery.

Has The Thread died due to an Unhandled Exception? Yesterday 38 posts after "work" in six hours, today a measly 12 in 10 hours?

Steve, funky display going on inthis thread.No idea, what's wrong there. Usually it's an embedded HTML code, but I don't see on there. Definitely something weird.
It is embedded HTML. If you look at the source of this post (753126) You'll see that what appears as
N'
';
should actually have the characters < / t a b l e > between the quotes.

nice debug, Derek. Now I just have to go answer some posts using that to make my answers 'right'-er than everyone else. 😛

Thanks, that makes me feel much better. Just to clarify the use of the word was because of my Twitter handle and my explanation of it here.

Doh! I read that one 3 times as source and didn't see that.
Thanks for pointing it out.

I guess someone I (remotely) relate to is Ponder Stibbons, one of the few hardworking wizards in Unseen University, unappreciated by his colleagues, but toiling with Hex, his beloved "computer" to make the world a better place, just like DBA's everywhere...*snif*

And it would of worked if only they could get enough bugs in the system 🙂

Love how, to "program" the computer, you used punch cards inserted into the tubes, and then let the ants through in certain patterns, not to mention the flatulent beach ball. Great description of Hex in Wikipedia, including Discworld analogies for data compression.
I especially love the water wheel with sheep skulls on it (the RAM). 😀
