Michael L John - Thursday, October 11, 2018 8:24 AMI've unsubscribed. I cannot take it any longer. He posted his bank account info, but will not post the code.
There was still enough money in the account to buy a pint, cheers! 😀

Shifting gears back to the SSMS 17 vs old SSIS problems... I learned my lesson way back in SS 2000 when it was DTS. I developed methods to do most of what it does and a whole lot of what it doesn't do so I don't have to use it. 😛

Brandie Tarvin - Thursday, October 11, 2018 7:23 AMRemember experience goes up if you like other people's points. Or if you attempt quizzes.
I think that's the big problem is liking posts... there are a lot of old random threads and posts that have many likes on them even if the posts were not all that likable 😉

OK, he's gotta be trolling...
I'd bet he's currently sitting wherever he is, laughing his head off at getting so many of us wound up...
I let my annoyance get the better of me and posted in the topic, but you know what? We need to quit feeding him.
If nothing else, so the bloody topic quits filtering to the top of unread and latest posts...
Please?😀

I'm still watching. I've abandoned any chance of support or help, so now it's cool looking train wreck.

I was tempted to comment when he felt the need to explain to us that it's possible for a view to return the same columns as a table.
I held back.

Yea, I thought about it as well. Burned my ass him thinking we needed such an explanation.

You know, if it were either 6 months ago (and some days) or 6 months from now, I'd think this was just one long-running April Fools gag...
