I think a little research and play is in order :laugh:

Personally, I prefer it way more than the msdb method, and I was never fan of the filesystem method.

One peeve I do have is that you have to deploy the full project when you make a change, you can't deploy a single package; so Source Control is really important.

Steve, there's no good way to add comments to Report Post anymore. Can you set this thread Read Only? Nothing is getting accomplished because the OP refuses to give anyone the information we need to help him out and everyone is just piling on to that refusal.

And just now the OP actually disclosed personal information such as their bank account number.

I first thought the reply was a joke (I mean, who would ever name a bank: YES bank). But I googled it and YES bank is a real bank in India.

It really is worth looking at. The auditing is better, the parameter control is better and I find deployment between environments so much easier. Ensuring that you're using the appropriate version of SSMS is a pain and I can't believe that they couldn't do something about that but that aside, so much easier and controllable than previous methods.

Far easier to just ignore it.

I hate it when threads are set to "Read Only" because some good info can suddenly crop up even years later but no one can express it because it's Read Only.

Heh... look at it as a test of the most important DBA skills there are... extreme patience ("Ah... this too shall pass" is one of the many renditions of that skill) and the ability to ignore people that desperately need to be ignored.
