A mug of a "JD inspired" tee should take care of that in few minutes

One of these days, I'm going to break down and try JD...
Just to see what all the fuss is about (I don't drink so...)

If you don't drink because, like me, you don't like the taste of alcohol, don't bother. It's nothing much.
If you don't drink because of other reasons, then maybe you will like the taste of it. @=)

I mostly don't drink because I never hung out with people who did, so I never picked up the taste.
I'll give most anything a try, because you never know, I might find something I do like.
It's getting myself to drop the $3-4-5 on something I may not like at all that's the hard part...
Hmm. Sounds like a reason to schedule a trip to an all-inclusive resort

I think you might've enjoyed the convention I spent Labor Day weekend at, if you haven't been to it before...
Well, OK, other than picking up a case of "con crud" afterwards...

I was gonna say, order at a restaurant/bar so you can try something. usually the same price as that appetizer you might not like either, so no real risk. I always wanted to try the whiskey tour at one of the local restaurants, then they closed up shop before I did. Oh well.

I wouldn't recommend an all-inclusive resort to taste good alcohol. They usually use the cheapest thing available.

You may want to rethink your cash outlay. If you are wanting to taste better liquor you are going to need to spend more than $3. Even something as simple as Jameson can run $5 many places. And don't go for the happy hour mixed drink specials. Those are almost always made with the worst (aka cheapest) stuff they can find. You can always ask the bartender for a recommendation.

Some of the places I've been have these specialty craft beers that cost upwards of $9 a glass. I also see mixed drinks north of $12. It makes me glad I quit drinking years ago.

Yikes!!! I don't spend $9 on a beer even though I do like good beer. I have occasionally spent that much on a mixed drink but not very often. If I was spending that much I would prefer to spend it on a decent bourbon instead of a mixed drink.

That's certainly true. In fact a fortnight's break in an all-inclusive hotel can help reduce your alcohol intake - because drinking the stuff you get there can be a quite effective aversion therapy. Of course for serious drinkers that doesn't work - after one lunch time drink in the bard (or the restaurant - usually the food is also the cheapest thing available) in such a place they go out for drinks (and perhaps for meals too). Not all all-inclusive places are like that, just most of them - and perhaps the ones with the best "customer reviews" are the worst ones, not the best ones.

- So, what did the doctor say?
- Well, it's confirmed. I'm officially impotent.
- Oh, man! My condolences...
- What condolences? You won't beleive it - so many problems are gone away!

Taste of alcohol hugely depends on perception.
As they say, to pessimists cognac smells like bedbugs, to optimists bedbugs smell like cognac.
