The man is one hell of a great teacher. I hope he never loses his passion for teaching.Lucky dogs. I would love to have him speak at our users group meeting.
Ah... my apologies. I left out an important part because it didn't diminish the quality of the presentation at all... he did it remotely. Still bloody amazing.

He did the same presentation for the DBA Fundamentals virtual group 10 days ago... You're right. It is an awesome presentation.

Fortunately, they record all of their speakers and make the presentations available on YouTube...

OK, who wants to go in on a refrigerated truck, a front loader, and a drive to one of the snow-areas, followed by a delivery to his yard?

Could you make a delivery to Cape Town instead? It's at least as warm as where Luis is, plus it's at the ocean

You should have come since yesterday to keep some snow while we went below 40. If you don't hurry, tomorrow will be too late and the snow won't last 5 minutes in the outside and would actually be refreshing and gladly accepted.

It was so cold here yesterday they rescheduled the Royals game. Meanwhile Sporting KC played in the cold. My oldest son's soccer game was postponed yesterday also. It was about 28-29 F at kickoff with windchill taking it down to around 15F. This morning it was 26F with a windchill of 18F. Supposed to be in the lower 50s by this afternoon. We might be able to have baseball practice tonight.

We have snow. Although it's slowly being melted by the cold rain that keeps falling. It's grey outside. Suicide may be a viable option (kidding, of course).

I should take my ice auger out and drill some test holes. Might still be safe to drive the truck out on the ice. Although with all the snow, I'd need to have a plow.
This winter seems to be refusing to let go.
30 inches of ice up north with a foot + of snow, fishing opener might involve finding open water.

We had freezing rain here yesterday. There was between 1/4" and 1/2" of ice covering everything, but the roads stayed mostly okay because they were warm. It took several hours for it to get above 32 F so things could start to melt. There's still 250,000 customers out of power in southeast Michigan.

I called someone the wife and I know who lives in Toronto (Canada) a wimp for staying inside over a lousy inch or two of snow...
Kept expecting to lose power yesterday, but we didn't
I-75 though, at 8 Mile, was closed in both directions from flooding, that was fun to get around...

It's crazy. Went to practice Thur night, shorts, 70F+. Got cooler after, but then snow Fri and i-70 closed from Denver to the Kansas border. Better Sat, and too warm for sweats when I went to our tournament yesterday.

I was going to open the pool, but I bought a Zamboni for it instead.

On the drive home Friday evening it was 78F when I started going home. Had to run an errand and by the time I got home an hour later it was hailing and just barely in the 40s. Dropped almost 40 degrees in an hour.
