Seems like a third of the people have their hair on fire, a third are ignoring this and the last third knows something I don't.

Steve, something changed in the notification emails?
I don't think I shout be getting users' emails instead of username.

Patch OS. Other than that, there's not much end-users can do.
Especially OSs in VM guests, as Meltdown allows malicious apps to break the isolation between VMs (probably why Azure moved their patching plans forward from next week to today once word started leaking)

Reported this. It should not be happening. My emails don't look like that. I see:
Maybe it's something the devs have against Grant.

What did Grant do this time?
I have 4 new post notifications. 3 look normal, and then that one.

Yeah, patch. There's a browser exploit: https://www.tomshardware.com/news/meltdown-spectre-exploit-browser-javascript,36221.html
Patching my desktop now. Contacting RG about SSC server upgrades.

I've seen the ones I received and it's only Grant that shows an email instead of his name. Maybe he updated his profile to display his email instead of his name?

The fix required me to click apply twice. That means it would have required me to do that to screw it up in the first place. Of this crime only, I remain as pure as the driven snow.... that is piling up outside my window right now.
Are you sure of the purity of that snow?

I'll take the blame for the "apply twice" bug :-). But you know given half a chance, something will mess up much easier than it'll un-mess!
Anyhow, I think we're good now. Sorry folks. As you were.

It looks pretty pure, especially now that the sun is down. I'm not validating it's chemical composition because it's too darned cold to go out there to collect it.
