    /me = joke killer

That is the new album  from Body Count.

Sean, I just got an email about a new one day rock festival in Cambridge. Not a single act on the 4 stages have I heard of. Which is bad. But four great names for bands...
Mammoth Penguins, Beverley Kills, The Baby Seals and Ducking Punches 🙂

Those are funny band names for sure. I have never heard of any of those either. I get a lot of emails for various bands around KC and I have to admit that most of them I have not heard of. I guess they must be bands that are either current or were relevant sometime in the last decade or so. 😉

My wife and I went to Austin City Limits a few years ago. Expensive trip (flight, hotel, tickets) but it was exciting and amazing. We went to see Stevie Wonder since he was on our bucket list, but along the way we also saw:

    Sarah Barelles
    Cee-Lo Green
    Kanye West
    Coldplay
    a  few  other lessor  names.

Some day I'd like to do another festival

    Nice.
Yet to see Stevie, or Coldplay. Missed out on Cee-Lo tickets when I used to live near Birmingham and he was at the arena there 🙁

wow, what a great idea and functionality! Don't you guys agree?

    Yes indeed

    you're killing my joke, man

I was expecting something similar to what happen at the office on Monday. Some gut sent an email including a group with thousands of users to ask a question. Over 150 replies which one third were "remove me from this group", another third where "this is how we avoid getting more emails" or "stop hitting reply all", 3 emails answering the original question and the rest making fun of the situation and sharing memes.
That was one of the best working Mondays in my life. Even if I didn't participate on the chaos. Are we more professional and mature in here? I'm not sure if I should feel proud or disappointed. :hehe:

    Sorry I brought it up.

But wait. What happens when my stool only has two legs?

It depends on how big the feet are. A two metre diameter circular foot at the bottom of each leg, and legs (each the same length as the other) suitably angled so that the top of the stool is at a useful height when the feet are 1 cm apart at their closest points, the two legs are 20 cm apart at their top, each 10 cm from the centre of the seat and the lines of the two legs are in a plane which intersects the seat of the stool is perpendicular to the horizontal, and includes the centre point of the eat of the stool, then provided that the legs and feet are reasonably stong and rigid this two-legged stool will be far more stable than an ordinary three-legged stool with the same seat.   Of course it's easy to design an unstable two-legged stool, but it's equally easy to design an unstable three legged stool.

I've had email trails like that here, Luis.  An email is sent to all of IS about a problem and the spam starts, including everything you just mentioned. These are the funny ones. 😀

It gets ridiculous when the original email is sent to the entire company and everyone feels obligated to reply...reply all, of course.  Nearly the entire day turns into a waste.

Will I get drummed out of the thread if I mention that while I own a copy of the movie in question, bought many, many years back on DVD, I've never even taken it out of the shrink wrap?

    YES!

No Tent in the Desert for YOU! @=)

Hang on.  I'm a bit worried here.  Are there any other films that carry the same punishment?  'cos there are vast swathes of films that I've never seen but people keep telling me I should...

Well, King Arthur comes a poor second to Brian.

Some of the best ones are the people trying to be "helpful" by replying all and saying that they shouldn't send emails to the entire company because it clutters up everyone's inbox. :Wow:

You have to know who shot first, Han or Greedo.

It depends on the edition. 😀

The only edition that really matters, the original.

Shocking that he would suggest there were another "real" edition. Just shocking.

Luis should have his Tent privileges suspended for a week for that one.

In my defense, we need to acknowledge the existence of other versions to avoid accepting false proofs. You should also note, that it was impossible for me to watch the original trilogy on theaters. But I'm still on team HSF.

True, there are indeed other editions.   But the question is "who shot first?" , and Han shot Greedo 20 years before Greedo fired a shot in the first of the mutilated editions.  So Han shot first.

Do you work where I work? Happened last week, initial question was "is this the right email list if I have XYZ problem?"

After about an hour of complete idiocy (everyone replying to all saying "stop replying to all!") someone either won all the awards or lost them by replying "Yes" to the original sender

I really hope that's a joke... I'd rather have entitlement to a couple (or even a month's) Paternity leave than have a week or to "pawternity" (especially as a cat owner!)

And don't worry, we've got just under a couple years before Brexit bites us in the ass. >_<
