You have to know who shot first, Han or Greedo.

Shocking that he would suggest there were another "real" edition. Just shocking.
Luis should have his Tent privileges suspended for a week for that one.

Sean Lange - Wednesday, April 26, 2017 8:09 AMPhil Parkin - Wednesday, April 26, 2017 8:05 AMI just got private message phishing attacked by dr.davidrivas101. Anyone else?I looked at their profile and they had a number of phishing type replies to various threads. I reported the first one I saw but now all those are gone and their history is blank. Seems that either the automated tool worked quite well or somebody moved on it pretty fast.
The ban-hammer has been in use; I can't see any further posts from him.
Looks like there were three PMs sent. I don't know to whom they were sent, though - insufficient privs. I'll mention it to Dave C, though, see if he can tell / remove.

In my defense, we need to acknowledge the existence of other versions to avoid accepting false proofs. You should also note, that it was impossible for me to watch the original trilogy on theaters. But I'm still on team HSF.

It was a good conversation to read. I miss The Thread for a day and I missed a whole bunch of conversation.
So why does the conversation about the stool remind me about a 5 ounce bird carrying a 1 pound coconut? 😀 😉
It could be carried by an African swallow!
Or European. 😛 It's one of the most quotable movies ever. Hard to believe it's as old as it is.
Hard to believe that we are as old as we are. :w00t:
How very true, my friend. All too true.
Will I get drummed out of the thread if I mention that while I own a copy of the movie in question, bought many, many years back on DVD, I've never even taken it out of the shrink wrap?
YES!
Anyone who doesn't know the fate of Sir Robin's minstrels deserves a fate worse then death. Consider your Thread Card revoked and all memberships herein denied!
No Tent in the Desert for YOU! @=)
I've seen it, just not my copy of it.
If I recall, Sir Robin's minstrels were killed.
And there was much rejoicing.
Should Spaceballs be required viewing here?

Same here....well not the California part. Saw the original release at least a dozen times in the theater. It was sort of a competition among my friends of who could see it the most times. I wasn't even close to a win but I did get to see a great movie many times. 😛

As for the "The List of Films You Should Have Seen"...
So far, so good.
And then it degenerated into something about which droids shot first, and I got lost. I think it's a Star Trek / Star Wars thing, but I never paid any attention there...
...and I suspect that alone is enough for me to have my credentials revoked

Spaceballs was playing in one of the rooms at the last SQLSaturday we had in Exeter. Much silliness.
