Well at least that thread is continuing and the OP is just blindly throwing no information into the pot. Seems pretty hopeless.

It's fun when an OP deletes the contents of their original post. Nice when the first response happens to quote it so you can still see it.

In case anyone missed it. Stackoverflow Developer survey came out. It had a high amount of DBA response.
Interesting bits here:
SQL Server is second highest. MySQL being top.
Oracle was the highest database engine that is the most dreaded.
SQL language is second highest used under Javascript.
SQL language in top 2 languages between Web Developer, Sysadmin/DevOps, Data Science. Top for Desktop Developers.
SQL however, has the lowest pay compared to more enterprise OO languages.
DBA one of the somewhat lowest in the survey by salary. DevOps, Machine Learning and other statistical positions being highest.
DBA by the USA average is $85,000. Data Scientist, DevOps and similar around $100,000. UK DBA's reported at $46,250.

Heh... "DevOps Specialist". IMHO, that should be the poster-child word example for "oxymoron". 😉

DevOps isn't a job! Any company that thinks 'devops' is a title for someone has rather missed the point of the entire thing.
