Are the posted questions getting worse?

Well, I just had to come back to clear up the unprofessional, false accusations the editor made.

I can quote people calling me a jerk, an a$$hole, a twit, a troll etc. How is that professional? Could you point out a quote where I used that kind of language (since as you pointed out, all of my posts were captured in quotes)? I merely stated facts.

Plus, all of these responses are just validating everything I have stated so far. I don't question that there is some good information on this site, it's just some of the overbearing patronizing posters.

If you act that way, there are people on this site that will call you on it, some much quicker than others. All you have done is antagonize and berate others. You didn't like an answer and you got snide and rude instead of simply asking for additional clarification. You then asked how do you cancel your account, and stated you wanted off. Well you got your wish but you "had" to come back? Actually, no you didn't. You could have just stayed away, and we would never have thought about you again.

As for me, after this, I will chose to simply ignore you and any further comments you may make. You simply aren't worth time or effort, and trust me, I have busted mine trying to help defficult OP's in the past when others have given up hope.

Again, I had to come back to clear the false accusations the editor made. If he would have remained professional you would never have seen me again. However, I'm sure once you don't like someone it is acceptable to say anything you would like about them and therefore considered the editor's comments as fact. Oh well.

  • Any one interested in the Troll Name Site, I already checked it out. Although interesting, I sorta expected something a little different. Some of the names it generated were, however, quite entertaining.

I just saw the PASS session list. Congrats Gail and Grant!!!

    Congrats to Gail and thanks.

I've got a spotlight and an alternate in the regular sessions.

You submitted 3 in total? Which one's alternate and which one did they say no thanks to?

Actually, I submitted four in total. I had no idea I'd be considered for a spotlight session, so I submitted three, execution plan basics, data dude, & query tuning through DMV use, plus the spotlight session, best practices with execution plans. They rejected the basics & the data dude session. I got through on the spotlight session & alternate on the dmv use. Once I had the spotlight, I was honestly hoping they'd reject all the others.

I've got a spotlight and an alternate in the regular sessions.

"Regular Sessions"? Are you talking about "general" sessions? I've not received anything one way or the other yet. If you know of a site different than the the summit site where this information is contained, I'd sure like to know what it is.

Yeah, sorry, general session. I would have thought you'd receive notice by now.

Oh. Mine is rather dull: Smelly Armpit Troll

I'm sure, with a bit of effort, I could be worth a few more adjectives.

Jeff: I got mine late on Friday. I know that there are still some sessions up in the air that are supposed to be decided by Monday. So I would say that if you haven't heard one way or another by Monday evening to contact them on Tuesday. I'll send you the contact info that I have if you need it.

Darlin', I realize feeding trolls is considered bad form, but please, don't go bad-mouthing Steve. If you need to call people out, please, pick on me. But sugar, you really ought to leave Steve out of it.

    Steve Jones - Editor (6/14/2009)

I have removed the account of our (un)professional1 friend from the system and deleted threads. Apologies to those of you that had to deal with him/her. It was a bogus hotmail address.

    Some people.

That type of attitude is exactly why I worry about personalities when I interview. I put technical skills way below dealing with someone that can't properly communicate, or is unwilling to work with others.

My hotmail address is not bogus. Feel free to e-mail me there. Why would you make something like that up.

This is the type of personality I worry about when interviewing. People who will do or say anything to make themselves look good.

Sorry for my quoted post above everyone. It was Grant Fritchey that posted under Steve's account and made the false accusations about my e-mail being bogus. Thanks for clearing this up Grant.

I assumed that since the post came from Steve, that he said those things, but it was apparently Grant. My apologies Steve.

    Sorry I bothered.
