I haven't even started packing yet and I already have flight delays. 🙁
And further flight delays, and delays upon the delays.

The SQL Bits mug has completed the Liverpool - Birmingham - Norwich - Reading - Heathrow - JFK NYC - Seattle legs of its journey...
Now the most important leg - getting it to Gail! 🙂

The rate I'm going, that might be the hard part...
Flight was originally scheduled to depart at 19h20 Saturday. It's now 01h20 Sunday, and I'm still at the airport.

Man, the spam is getting worse. The other morning, 41 out of 50 posts were spam. This morning is almost as bad. Most of it is URL-only. Seems like a simple trick to prevent it. Even a trigger could handle it easily.

Yes, it's definitely getting worse. They're adapting and there seems to be a lot more of it, especially this weekend.

I tend to be paranoid about even the people who post their query plans (especially in Word docs!)
Of course, I'm also usually on while I'm on my work computer, and I really, really, really don't want to get on the wrong side of a security scan...

Yep, me too. I can just imagine explaining that action in my exit interview.

Worst that has happened to me is I went to a website (something like f1 sql server?) for something. A few hours later, the security team was at my side saying "we need to take your machine off the network". "Why?" "Because the web filters prevented some dodgy download". "erm..."
So. Because something had been dealt with at the edge of our network (where it shoudl have been dealt with), they still had to take down my machine. "How long is it going to take you to fix this?" I asked; "five days." "OK, just flatten my machine and I'll rebuild - that'll save me three days..."
Yeah. So many things wrong in that place.
