You know, this was probably not a good comment, so I'm dumping it...

Instead, who's going to see Star Trek this weekend!

My wife is dying to see The Secret Life of Pets. I've been meaning to ask if she's up for a date night sometime this weekend.

We saw it opening weekend, and we both highly recommend it! Fun movie.

Sounds like my boys. They are going nuts to see this one. We took them to Finding Dory last week. It was pretty funny but so much like the original in so many ways it kind of left me flat.

We were a bit disappointed with this movie. It's nice, but not memorable. It's fun to see our dog's behaviors reflected in the movie.

  • So this is almost funny...

I'm happily working away, when I feel my cell phone buzz. Now, typically, during the work day, this is an e-mail coming in on certain accounts that I've never gotten around to turning of the vibrate alerts for or a text. I glance at it, it's an e-mail, and it appears to be (just glanced at the little bit that shows in the alert itself,) a hiring agent.

Nothing unusual about that, this is the address tied to my LinkedIn profile.

What makes it almost funny, is the company he represents just so happens to be a company that I came across an article today about a database of theirs that they "bill it as a useful tool for those fighting money laundering, "organized crime, sanctions, Countering the Financing of Terrorism (CFT), and Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs).""

Said database (a version from mid-2014) apparently leaked out to the internet back around the end of June...

Things that make you go "hmmm..."

Heh. A previous place was just preparing to set up an environment to host this database for one of their new systems when I left... I hope it didn't come from there! (If it did, I would just like to state for the record that it wasn't me, OK?)

Star Trek is likely a couple weeks away for me.

LOL. That review is hilarious. I have not seen the film, mostly because nearly all of the Star Trek films have just been awful. They have all had the feeling of "well we are making a Star Trek film, now we need to find a story". Sad really as the tv shows have been so good. Not sure why they can't seem to find decent writers for the films. I figured I would just catch this one on HBO in a few months like most of the previous films. :w00t:
