Are the posted questions getting worse?

So, I'm thinking if we get enough takers, we might be able to make a run at buying Taravai

Close enough to another island with an airstrip, so we'd have a way to get back for things like Summit, etc, big enough we can spread out and not have to share a single house...

    Who's with me?

I might even be able to get the wife on board with this!

    Is it for sale?

Oh, and we could host a winter weather SQL Server party there. Kilts, programming, and pizza. What could go wrong?

Enh, who cares if it's for sale...

Raise enough money and anything's for sale (who wants to buy a President?)

Might want to check the pizza delivery fees before sinking any money into this... :hehe:

Exactly, the important question is: How's the internet connection?

We could sink a cable, I'm sure.

    Just a little humor.

In the Venn diagram of the UK, all English people are British, but not all British people are English :-D. One of the best way to wind up Scots is to call them English (or say "Hey, my friend lives in London. Maybe you know him?")

We have a Scot at Redgate. I always ask him how Dublin is.

  • And the moral of the story? Be careful what orders you give your workers / employees.

Now Wales are after independence from England to 'safeguard' their future...despite the fact that they also voted in favour of Brexit :w00t:

The Welsh aren't like us humans.

I feared that link may be NSFW then... :hehe: Oh Way-yells...

I propose a Gloucestershire independence vote. No-one recognises that there's a UK outside of London anyway 😉

That's because there isn't - what we have is a disunited kingdom, not a united one. The UK government directs funding disproportionately to the south east, and the rest of the union can go hang as far as the bureaucrats in Whitehall are concerned.

Being part Welsh myself, I thought that Wales always wanted to be free from "those damn Brits". Or am I misunderstanding that situation as American folklore?

Actually the original Britons are the celtic fringes (Wales, N Ireland, much of Scotland, and SW England) who want to be rid of the damned English - or as the Welsh might say, "Cael gwared ar y Saeson" or as my sort of Brit would say would say "Faigheamaid cuidhteas air na Sassunaich". :hehe:

In fact real Britons don't approve of these non-Brit Anglo-Saxon and Norman-French invaders calling themselves Britons. 😛

  • Oh the fun of the last couple days before a long holiday weekend...

Everyone who could, took time off, those that are left (me!) work on things but have to constantly fight the daydreaming of the upcoming weekend and what you're going to be doing...

Doesn't help that it's wonderful weather outside right now...
