    Not that I can see. Polling stations are open for another 40 minutes or so, so it's too early. Results should start rolling in soon after they close.

  • Well, my desktop needs help. If I don't make it back online, I'm likely cursing and sweating over electronics. Gonna replace MB/CPU tonight and cross my fingers.

    It used to alarm during heavy video processing, but worked well otherwise. The last month it's been flaking more, losing my W10 start menu, pausing during some Explorer related tasks, and even alarming during just browsing/writing/email.

    Hope this works well.

  • So my biggest concern right now is that we may find ourselves being led by Boris Johnson. Say what you want about dodgy Dave, he's quite tame compared to other Tories.

    From what I've read we won't be out of the EU for another 2 years...on a personal note, this has thrown a massive spanner in my 5 yr plan as I was planning on buying my first property in April, but no idea how it will impact interest rates and also my job (BI/ETL dev, insurance industry). I'm considering moving abroad to Australia for a bit instead (may as well do it whilst I'm young). WWYD?

    I can't believe it either.

    Farrago has already admitted that the £350 million figure, upon which many people based their voting intentions, was a 'mistake'. Pretty soon he'll be admitting that we won't be getting the free unicorns.


    On two occasions I have been asked, "Pray, Mr. Babbage, if you put into the machine wrong figures, will the right answers come out?" ... I am not able rightly to apprehend the kind of confusion of ideas that could provoke such a question.

    One of the unconsidered consequences of Gove, Johnson and Farage possibly taking power is that hundreds of satirists will find themselves out of a job. With those three running the place they'll never be able to make up anything dafter than what they're actually doing. When I said I was @!*king terrified yesterday I meant it.

    Already you can't walk down Whitehall without being deafened by the sound of EU protections of workers rights, air and water quality, and safety standards being torn up.

    On the plus side exports are cheaper for the buyers now. Which would be nice if we still exported stuff.
