Had to look up pepperdew, sounds good. Breakfast time here, blueberry muffin at my desk.

  • Breakfast was chocolate shreddies, blood orange juice, some very nice ground coffee from the owners of the house (I'd left my at home on Sunday for my three days in the office). Lunch was falafel, hummus, salad and pitta.

So Brandie it's not me eating the pancakes!

I do apologise they were chocolate shreddies (thought that typed wheat! Freudian slip)

Breakfast isn't included where I am staying so I bought the variety selection from both Kellogg's and Nestle!

    Good morning, peeps.

What are we having for breakfast today?

Mine was oatmeal with purple honey (from North Carolina) and assorted fruit. But for some reason I have pancakes and waffles with real maple syrup on my mind and I can't figure out why. So I'm pre-emptively accusing someone on The Thread of having the Good Stuff for breakfast and making me hungry again.

Waffles with the real stuff was Saturday.

If you are ever coming to Minnesota in the spring, get in touch.

My cousin actually started making syrup.

    You could probably take part.

Would you expect wages with custom labels?

    Coffee, lots of...

Eventually I have a Clif bar to tide me over until lunch...

Depends on how much work. For a couple of days, probably not as I could finagle a "writing research" expense on my taxes.

I actually have a planned book with a character that taps for syrup. But internet research only gets one so far.

I have a serious French Toast recipe which involves making my own syrup. It makes everyone happy.
