I'm sad todayOne bit of advice. Work with your body shop to make sure that the repairs come under the amount where your insurance company would consider the car totaled. It seems minor enough but parts, labor, painting, etc. can add up fast.
Glad no one got hurt except for the car.
If this can be totaled, I'd be amazed. However, I could live with that. I'll get another one 😉
True, if the car is paid off or you're at least on the right side of a loan I'd rather they call it a write off in that situation myself. Sadly, many people don't think about that when buying a car. Heck, you are already upside down on a car loan the second you drive off the lot unless you put down a healthy down payment.
Glad, everyone is safe.

Glad all are ok.
That does look like one sad car though.

YIKES! Ditto to the "glad you're okay." Hope everyone else involved was too and that your repairs are quick and efficient.

Or paid cash to avoid paying 20% interest on a loan. 😀

Glad to hear no one was injured.
At least for me when my vehicle has been damaged, in my mind I feel like it never drives the same as before the accident.

That's definitely the way to go if that's an option. However, I've never seen a car loan with that kind of rate. That's the interest rate on my credit card! Of course I can't account for lending practices (or rates) in different parts of the world but man at that rate the car might become a classic before it's paid off. lol

Is this the end? Will Jeff Moden be able to stop work on his string splitter??
Will Batman be able to get rid of the bomb before it blows up?!?!
Tune in next week!

😎
Not yet. The new feature is far from complete at this point.
8k splitter is faster for certain tests while this new splitter is faster for others. But the use of the new splitter is limited.

A sig that claims an MCSA and can't use SUM?
I can't use SUM either. It keeps wanting me to group on crap I don't want in the group.

Reading the SQL2016 release notes, and especially Jeffs' comments here[/url], I'm wondering if maybe MS didn't bother to set up their string splitter with the capability of numbering the output because they expect people to fudge around that.
Perhaps setting up a temp table with an identity column and inserting the split data into that, then working from there. A kludge, but a workable kludge...
Not sure how badly this would affect performance of any procedures that use it, though...

Yeah, actually a girl hit a trailer that slide over and tapped the car. Wouldn't be nearly as bad, but it clipped a coolant line, so no driving 🙁Wouldn't be surprised if the repair bill hit 5K or more.
I was in a minor rear end accident in my car and the repairs to the rear was close to 2K.
Glad no one was hurt.
hmmm BMW...5k seems light.
I would not be surprised to see an insurance company claim it as totaled.

There's the rate and then then impact of compounded interest. If you only pay 20% more for a financed car over the life of the loan, consider yourself lucky.

So very true, I guess I've just been lucky in that respect.

I agree about the ItemNumber being included and yeah, it should really know the difference between a varchar and nvarchar.
Another think I noticed is that they took comments over 7 days and comments are now closed. Hmmm. :w00t:
