You caught that too...makes you wonder if people are using other people's accounts. But why?

Probably more like boot camp style exam prep.

Indeed. Why make such claims in your sig & then demonstrate their lack of validity.

Have I been reasonable with this guy? He crops up fairly regularly and is quite obviously well out of his depth - but I don't see a huge amount of effort on his part to learn. I'm willing to help - as are others of course - but I'd like to encourage him to take up the baton rather than simply increase the size of the existing pile of stuff. Feel free to criticize my post if you think it might give him that wee nudge that I think he needs. On the contrary. I think you were far gentler and nicer than I would have been. That code is an absolute train wreck for what appears to be something relatively simple. He needs to either put on his big boy pants or spend the rest of his career in the kiddie pool.
Cheers Sean, appreciate it.

It's as bizarre as making stuff up for your cv.
I wonder if the guy I mentioned earlier ^^ fits into this category? He's certainly struggling with what looks to be fairly straightforward requirements.

Can someone help over on this thread? I'm positive the OP needs to rebuild SQL Server, but he seems certain that his backup strategy works and that the issue is something more easily resolved.
At this point, I'm giving up because the OP isn't listening and everyone else on the thread is asking him to repeat the error he's already posted at least twice because they can't believe that's the only error.

Yeah, actually a girl hit a trailer that slide over and tapped the car. Wouldn't be nearly as bad, but it clipped a coolant line, so no driving 🙁

Wouldn't be surprised if the repair bill hit 5K or more.
I was in a minor rear end accident in my car and the repairs to the rear was close to 2K.
Glad no one was hurt.

Chris, I agree with Sean. I thought you were up-front and honest. There's no getting around that it sucks and needs to be rewritten. Now, if he does want someone to do it for him, then let him hire someone. I thought that what you and Lynn said about taking the opportunity to learn and having to support it was really good. You have a great deal of patience.

One bit of advice. Work with your body shop to make sure that the repairs come under the amount where your insurance company would consider the car totaled. It seems minor enough but parts, labor, painting, etc. can add up fast.
Glad no one got hurt except for the car.

If this can be totaled, I'd be amazed. However, I could live with that. I'll get another one 😉
