This got me by surprise. I'm not searching for jobs, but it got my attention because it was totally unexpected (but possibly logical).Stuart's BS guru would be a perfect fit for this BS job π
Well that's a first for me - having TLOGS in the desirable skill section. Sounds great!
Can I apply for it on their behalf??

There are naive questions, tedious questions, ill-phrased questions, questions put after inadequate self-criticism. But every question is a cry to understand (the world). There is no such thing as a dumb question. β Carl Sagan

I guess its Azure now. Thanks for your input Brandie, got a possible workaround.
Glad I helped, even though I'm not sure what brilliant thing I'm sure I said. π
I guess that just proves overuse of DBCC TIMEWARP causes temporal paradoxes in the technical assistance domain. @=)

Wow. That's a long list of skills they want.

They aren't sure if they want Oracle or SQL Server either. It's more like a candidate cv acquisition job than a real job.

Why not? An imaginative use of a human resource to match an imaginative list of the human's capabilities π

So we were talking about Safe Harbor and data laws the other day, yes?
And now Slate.com has this article about a new data transfer agreement.

Why do you think I'm working on that database?
Ha!
I'm pretty sure that's one of Steve's presentations.

Simply because this is not the BlogsDotRedgate_Dev_Steve database which is on the same server.:-D

In the past I worked with a couple developers (SQL and Oracle) who used Select * quite often. At every code review I would point out all of the Select *'s and ask the developers to replace with column names... the pushback was unbelievable - "it takes too long to type the column names"... and their manager backed them, argh.
I believe these developers went to the Dark Side many years ago and fail to see the goodness of the light side.

Clearly they needed a SQL Prompt license.
