Banks seem to be capable of doing date math, I've for instance seen interests paid early

    😎

I'm not sure that's capable. More just "able".

Or just it's doing some math, related or not.

Good ol'Steve, keeps correcting my broken English :hehe:

I don't know. Interests paid early means less money for people, not more.

Oh, has anyone stayed at a Hyatt recently?

Nope, Hilton only, but I just expect to get hit at some point.

Not really, interest are calculated on a period that must pass, payment of interests is the release of funds from the bank to the account holder normally held back by the bank by few hours or days after the period passes;-)

I'm genuinely curious how you manage that when all the hotels demand credit cards for incidentals these days.

I try to avoid it whenever I can because the hotel industry is what it is. I prefer cash - no hacking card numbers allowed. Of course, no one can avoid it completely.

And here I thought it was because you only wanted the room for an hour, Mr. Smith.

  • I really appreciate the effort of those who write the articles posted on this site but sometimes the quality seriously suffers from the absence of technical review and the lack editing. Something for Steve to think about...

Oh dear - and that's before my first article gets published, tomorrow. 😀

I know Steve wants the editorial hand to be light here, and tech-editing takes a huge amount of time, so may not be feasible without reducing the number of articles published or hiring more people.
