Hey Grant,I have a ticket for Marillion in Boston Friday Nov 4th. 🙂
It's a early show - doors at 6.
I then have one for New York the week after. Tuesday 8th.
Not sure if I will try for a 3rd in between Summit and the those.
They might add extra dates in those cities, they are doing two back to back in Chicago when Summit is on - they normally do two completely different nights then...
But plan at the moment is;
Maybe fly out early enough for Portland, then Summit, go to Boston the following Monday, 4-5 days in Boston, Saturday or Sunday to New York, 4-5 days in New York, fly back end of the week, maybe the Saturday.
So hopefully we can meet up in Boston! Yay
Cheers,
Rodders...
I'm offended now. I think I'm almost as close to Boston as Grant and you don't want to meet up with me? 😛
Rodders overlooked you.
Get it. It's a joke. :w00t:

Any of you see the Advent of Code?
I've been solving them in Python and PoSh, practicing some code. Thought some of you might have fun doing this in T-SQL as well.

You're a bad man Mr. Jones! 😛
And before you ask, doesn't look as though I will be anywhere near Denver next year 😉

Yes, I've been using these as a learning exercise for PoSh. THe thought of running some of these in T-SQL, though...! Particularly that MD5 one. My PoSh version had been running for an hour or more by the time I went to bed leaving it running last night...

2 things:
1. That joke fell short 😀
2. I'm not sure Rodders is tall enough to overlook me.;-)

According to your blog, you might show up in Cleveland SQLSaturday for 2016. Any way of knowing for sure?

No, Cleveland is out. I've got a commitment with my daughter, and that wins.
I'm also striving to really limit travel. The updated schedule is here: https://voiceofthedba.wordpress.com/speaking-schedule/
I'm probably not looking to add anything in Jan/Feb, prob nothing in Mar. Apr and beyond is up in the air.
I would like to get to Detroit if there's another event.

Family always comes first but that's a bugger. Was looking forward to seeing you again, ol' friend.

Ditto. Was hoping to get there, but scheduling didn't work. I do keep an eye out for things in that area that I can come and attend. If nothing else, I'm working on my northern geography 😉

I was just going to pick one of Nashville/Chicago/Cleveland, since they're the closest to me. Probably going to end up with Chicago, since travel's easiest to arrange for it.
