Why should we consider using hashtags? Is there any benefit on that? The forum software won't recognize them, I'm not sure if search engines would care, and what relevance would they have. This is an honest question, as there might be a good reason which I don't know.

The topic is, Are the posted questions getting worse?

If you tag the questions, it is easier to analyze if the posted questions are getting worse.

I'm not sure I follow your logic. We passed the point of discussing this thread's original topic a long time ago. This is now a completely different thread, where we occasionally vent about the posted questions, but not always.

Maybe I'm mistaken, but we're not keeping score or anything.

We're not? I was trying so hard to win. 😀

    Yeah!

If we're not keeping score, then how do we know who's winning?

    :hehe:

Remember, it is not about winning or losing because everyone is a winner if they try their best . Keeping score will just harm the self-esteem of the people who don't score as much.

    You're losing then?

He probably doesn't think so, he's got 10k points, I've only got 1600...

    Of course, quality vs quantity...

As others have noted, many years ago we deviated from the original topic of this thread. It is now our Water Cooler. Again, I recommend taking a few months and reading this thread from the beginning.

Ah yes I remember the "fun" of reading the first few hundred pages or so to begin with. Then losing track and having to spend a few weeks reading 30-50 posts day to catch up again. It does help explain some of the madness / quirks / fun / references and who people are, etc in this Thread!

I did get a text from the Hippo asking if any one was planning a party at the Tent in the Desert any time soon. Apparently there is still a big mess needing to be cleaned up from the last party.

  • Did anyone consider creating a topic for the original topic and renaming this Water Cooler?

    You're losing then?

Some days it feels that way. It also feels that way when I read some of the answers other provide after I've spent time trying to help with a problem, and I say, "Wow, wish I could've figured that out".

Not going to disagree on either of your points 😉

The majority of my points came before 2012. I still try to help out some, but don't have the time to be a major poster anymore.

We all feel that way at some point. It just depends on who has the crystal ball at that moment in time.

I thought I saw it the other day when I took a shot at the question on converting dates like 7.9 and 7.4, but the OP never said either way. So, I guess the shiny thing could have been the crystal ball or the reflection of the sun on my window. I guess it doesn't matter because both are gone now.

Coming from a cold country you have to excuse my ignorance but where is the winter?

    😎

Hopefully coming soon. Not nearly enough snow here now
