So I happily await my inexpensive little grill (which means I don't have to buy one) so I can do steaks or hot dogs or something for Thanksgiving. Because FLORIDA IS WARM.

Seriously, why can't we have a real winter where all the plants die?

Good job on making it 10 years, Brandie. Yes, Florida is warm. In some months, it's crazy hot. Being in Michigan, I sometimes wonder what it's like to just skip winter every year. You never have to concern yourself with how many inches of snow you have to drive in, wonder if the county road commission will plow the roads soon and never have to shovel your driveway. Even with the negative, I must admit that I like winter. It would be nice, however, to have it in smaller doses and not when I have to get somewhere.

I'm not a fan of blizzards myself (unless they are of the DQ variety), but as an allergy sufferer, I appreciate the death of pollen on an annual basis. Which is hard to find in the South. Very hard to find.

Thought of living in the south but you have as many problems (different from ours). So I think I will stay north.

    Ugh. SQL Server is HARD.

An unsolicited email has just dropped into my Hotmail inbox from a recruitment agency touting a permy dev DBA role in Soho (London) paying £50k to £90k. If SQL Server was lemon-squeezy the rate wouldn't be as high.

Yeah, the south does have hurricanes and tornadoes. I'll settle for the snow.
