  • Must...

    Refrain...

    From posting...

    In the JET topic...

    But it's oh-so hard...

Brandie I *tried* to find a decent pic of a Troll Street Samurai that was (more-or-less) obviously ShadowRun, but failed...

    🙁

  • I haven't posted on it either, but I'm about ready to. I'm interested in the answer the Jeff's question if they have a system like that running in production. It might push me over the edge.

  • Holy cow... I've been avoiding that thread, and curiosity got the better of me. Sure with it hadn't.

Everyone needs to just walk away from there. No more posting to it, please. Let it die.

  • Oh boy. I took a peek at the JET thread. Totally reminds me of a contestant a few seasons back on Ink Master. His name was Magic Mike.

Just spewing crap out the mouth. Speaking English but incomprehensible.

I think I need an intervention...

I keep going back to the "Jet" topic, it's like watching a train wreck and I can't stop...

Absolutely NO intention of posting and feeding the troll, though...

Completely unrelated to that, found out why my new lab server was as loud as it was. It was rather displeased that when I hooked it up for testing, I only connected one power supply, rather than both. Once I hooked up both (after racking it) it works out to be no louder than, and possibly quieter than, the other 4U I've got that's a home-built...

    I find it quite entertaining

I assume you are talking about the Jet thread. Do you think any of us have gotten out line?

I don't think you've gotten out of line at all. In fact, I think people are going out of their way to be nice. Here's something to think about: What if I told you I wanted your advice on how to improve performance on a procedure that opened an Excel file, read it into a table, returned the results of the table and then truncated the table so it could be loaded fresh again next time? You'd tell me (nicely, knowing you) that I was being an idiot and explain what a table was and how to use it.

Granted, I haven't read every post on there; I've just dropped in from time to time. From what I've seen, I don't think there's a think wrong with how people have responded to the pedantic rambling. I try to have a lot of patience myself when posting, but there reaches a point where the flat spot on my forehead gets so flat that it starts to cause too much pain and I have to walk away. Your know who I'm talking about. 😉

Good gosh. I went back and read through what I've missed. This guy is a classic troll. He's been fed so much I'm surprised he doesn't pop. But my favorite bit, the extreme willful ignorance. My favorite quote "...people suggested that users can access SQL Server while taking a backup..." Uh..., no, we're not "suggesting" that, we're stating it as a hard, cold, completely incontrovertible fact... you knucklehead (except, in my head, I didn't use the word knucklehead).

I guess I can see the fun of poking the bear, but after a while that must get old.

Yeah, I've talked with you before . "Moron", or maybe "Moroff" is more likely what was in your head!

Edit: or, seeing as you are a Navy vet, maybe something more suitable from that background. :w00t:

Yeah, I sprinkled several useful Anglo Saxon words around the various other nouns and pronouns that were running about my brain.
