This might be something in place on your end, Brandie. The links in my notifications look normal.
You are correct. Turns out corporate put in something that rewrites all the URLs of incoming mail to ensure that they're safe.

They look super safe. Not even a chance of getting to a malicious, or harmless, URL.

The homework assignment may dictate that the problem be solved with a cursor. Anyone who is good with cursors want to take a look at this?Anyone good with cursors that's willing to admit to it?:w00t::w00t:
LOL. And using a cursor for what they are trying to do is a t-sql hammer. Sweet. I get to repost an awesome graphic from Lowell twice in about a week.
Thanks gents for jumping in. I'm happy that cursors are almost the never the best solution to a SQL problem. Aside from the performance issues with cursors I still find them confusing. So much work... You declare it, open it, start Fetching, then the WHILE @@Fetch status part, @Fetch next or into or whatever, then close and deallocate it. I have always struggled with cursors - so much complexity for such simple stuff.

Confession time. I've never actually written a cursor from scratch.
Oh, I've written cursors and I understand how they work, but usually I steal the structure from another piece of code and then just remove / plug in the bits that need changing. Viola, it works.

GAH! I just got upgraded to Office 2013 and now I can't read a single thing in Outlook. That pale blue is killing me!
Why oh why oh why did Microsoft decide to go with a color so pale that people can barely see it?

The fonts are slightly different when replying and forwarding messages as well. You should be able to change your fonts in the options dialog. I have 2013 at home and don't remember the exact way to get there, but I think it's the "Stationary and Fonts" dialog.

Never had an issue with it.
As mentioned by Ed, everything is customizable in Office 🙂

I've already fixed the Font colors. What I'm having issues with is the "highlight" when I'm moving my cursor over folders and emails. According to Google, this color cannot be changed.

Wait until you see the highlight use two colors in the same selection. I haven't noticed any functional difference, but the two shades of blue at a time made me take a second look.

Any hints on how to change the white of the Inbox and other folders? I've already changed my background to dark gray, but the Inbox is still nasty-white.

I thought it might be under View Settings for the inbox, but there's nothing in there about background color. I read that you can change your window preferences in the control panel, but making a system-wide change seems a bit much.

Yeah, that's all I've been able to find on the issue. Also found another link that says to change your windows resolution to resolve a different problem, but again, that's like an exterminator telling you to burn down your house in order to get rid of a few mice. I mean, I get they're trying to make things look clean but this interface is seriously annoying.
