A few weeks back, we were talking about password managers. Someone mentioned LastPass and I've been looking into it. But the odd thing is, there's no mention of how LastPass does the device synching. Is it a cloud service? A portable executable?Can someone who uses LastPass speak to its multi-device synching?
don't use LastPass. I use PasswordSafe on multiple devices. I have the database files stored on DropBox, and on the laptop (Win10), desktop (Win8), laptop (OXS), I just open the free app pointed to the database on a Dropbox folder locally.
On my old Android and current iPhone, I have a paid app that connects to the Dropbox folder on the cell phone and opens the apps. On the iPhone, I have TouchID integration.
Steve, please justify this comment. LastPass works great for me.

I wasn't implying anything about LastPass. I was just speaking to the way that Password Safe apps work across devices.
I'd assume LastPass works in a similar manner.

I suppose that there's an I missing at the beginning of the sentence. The hint is that "don't" doesn't begin with a capital letter.

Yeah, I saw the game advertising earlier today. There was a little bit this past weekend, but it looks like it's picked up.

Silly question. I'm looking for a parts laptop Toshiba Satellite U205-S5058. I mainly want the top cover assembly (with cables intact). I might be able to go with a U205-S5057 (they look about the same).
Does anyone have such a thing they'd like to part with? Or perhaps knows someone who does?

Just got a deadlock alert from Idera DM and this is the query(anonymized):
'
SELECT
*
FROM
"database"."dbo"."table" WITH (UPDLOCK, REPEATABLEREAD)
WHERE
"columnA" = @P1 AND
"columnB" = @P2
OPTION
(OPTIMIZE FOR UNKNOWN);
This is from Navision. Let's add some more hints to this one.

I'm thinking of upgrading my Lenovo Thinkpad e455 from a regular SATA to an SSD. I'd like to get 1 TB or more. Any advice on brands or where to shop?

I have several ideas. Exactly how slow would you like it to be?

We're gonna need more BBQ sauce to go with that spam.

HEHE - yeah how slow indeed? I think we can de-optimize it a bit more.

Sorry, missed the "I".
I don't use LastPass. I think everyone should use a password manager. Whether it's LastPass, 1Password, Key Pass, Password Safe, personal choice. Pick one, use it, encourage others to use them.
I've also used a separate db in a team to control shared, system passwords for joint systems that we run. For example, we've sometimes had a specific login for an applictation to hit a db, so we put it in the shared db.
