  • Don't worry Roy, I've got your back. I can't stand cats either.

I know that I am going to be kicked from several sides for this statement.... But here it is..

"There are two animals that I dislike, One is Snake and the other is Cat" I cannot stand a cat. I like dogs. But cats I cant stand them.

There are Cat people and there are Dog people and sometimes they intermingle and sometimes they don't. For a long while I had iguanas as pets, my mother took that as a sign that I really was crazy. She already knew I was weird, but this just was the icing on the cake as it were. She's a Cat person, although she has had a dog and likes dogs, but she prefers cats.

Me, I like cats, but have dogs, mostly because a) my current dog would chase a cat all over the place and trash the place in his quest to get the cat and b) I'm more allergic to cats than I am to dogs.

Snake is quite tasty - had it in Hong Kong a few times -

Not sure what cat is like - don't think I want to find out.

    Here's a joke that's been around:

The dog looks at you and thinks to himself,

"You feed me, you shelter me, you love me. YOU must be God!"

The cat looks at you and thinks to himself,

"You feed me, you shelter me, you love me. I must be God!"

Uh-oh Gaby, are you catching the echo-itis??? 😉

... Doesn't matter if the horse is bigger than you. Horses are easy to trick.

And yet somehow, we are the ones providing them with food and shelter. 😀

Reminds me of a joke about the difference between cats and dogs. Dogs take a look at their person, think, "Wow! This guy provides unlimited food, shelter, care, love and petting. He must be a god!", cats think, "Wow! This guy provides unlimited food, shelter, care, love and petting. I must be a god!"

Either one, smoked and/or made into jerky can be quite delicious (as with most other meats...). Pickled, not so much - IMO.

I like cats, dogs, snakes, iguanas, and various other animals. The one I've had to care for that I hated, wasn't a pet, it was farm-goats. I hated those things!

As for jumping on you for disliking cats: Why would we do that? Personal preferences are personal preferences. Like what you like.

If it tastes like chicken, it better be chicken. My own humble (or not so humble) opinion. 😉

Yeah, I know. Crazy eating habits. :w00t: I do know that south of the border (Mexico and further), iguanas are nicknamed (or considered) to be "chicken in a tree" due to the herds of them that live in trees.

I have no problem with that, although if I ever visit those places, out of respect for my iguana (who was a very loving pet), I don't think I'll give it a try. So I'll take your word for it being a delicacy.

I'll stick to having an iguana as a pet, not as a dinner item. 🙂

Sorry to hear it. I love big dogs. We have an 80lb German Shephard, Maximus. He's a giant baby doll. Sounds like a frigging balrog when he barks though. I hate to think about the mess we'd have to clean up if some criminal got as far as the door before Max barked at him...

  • Gaaaahhhh.... I get really focused on my real life and work for a couple of days and I miss all the excitement. :w00t:

I'm glad I got to see the fireworks though.

Congratulations and happy Big Round Dumber Day 5k to everyone. I'm guessing 10k will be the next to cause any real excitement.
