That's a neat approach and one I've never even considered. What I do know for sure is that having all these passwords are a complete pain. I hate using any single password for more than one thing, so they pile up.
Use a password manager and stop worrying.

My password manager will let me know how good my passwords are and whether or not I've used them for more than one site.
I use KeePass and it will generate a new password for every time I need a new one. They are sufficiently ridiculous but you can copy and paste the password so you don't have to remember them. You just have to remember the master password to open your personal data file.
Do you have to copy and paste passwords to log in to a site? LastPass can usually log you in automatically.
Ohhh that sounds pretty slick. Can you share your passwords across devices easily? It is super handy to have all my passwords right on my phone, laptop and desktop.
Ahh you have to upgrade to LastPass Premium to get portability. Will have to investigate and see what the monthly charge is for that.

Besides the portability etc, one thing that is nice is how easy LastPass makes it to share a password or group of passwords with a couple of other individuals.

If someone shares any password where I work, it's serious grounds for termination.

I'm in the same situation at work with sharing passwords.
I tried KeyPass once, but never really populated it fully. I know there was a portable version you can put on a flash drive and run it right from there. I'm going to have to check out LastPass and compare it. I really should have them in a program somewhere...they don't usually have memory problems. 😉

I use KeePass and have been very happy with it. Sync to all of my devices (via DropBox), one key-stroke autofill on the web, SSMS, RDP, or any other app on my PC (not my phone unfortunately, copy/paste there) and I only have to remember one password. I believe LastPass also has those features as well, except perhaps interfacing with non-browser software. I know everyone will have different requirements, but KeePass has been perfect for me.

Nice and quiet around here today. They even gave us an extra "jean's day" today. I suspect tomorrow this place will be empty. Finally a chance to get somewhat caught up.
