Today is the kind of day (and it's only been an hour and a half since I got to work) that you clock watch...OTOH, got plenty to look forward to this weekend...
Going to the movies tonight (Lets see if Arnies' still got it in Terminator:Genysis)
Tomorrow, doing some painting around the house (gotta love a new house with matte white walls...)
Saturday, heading out to the park for the day, just gonna relax and chill
Sunday, going out to the rifle range to punch holes in paper (maybe I'll scribble "TPS Report" on them first)
So, if you're in the US, got anything interesting planned this weekend? If you're not in the US, anything fun going on?
I was thinking of going to the range myself some time this weekend. What range to you go to?
Don't you two get on? :w00t:

Normally I go to Close Quarters Tactical (indoor range), but having just had a scope mounted on the rifle that's set for 100yds, Sunday I'm heading out to Detroit Sportsmans Congress, give their outdoor 200yd range a try.

Saturday we are having about 20 people over for a big celebration. We live in a city outside of Kansas City and they allow fireworks. Our neighborhood is always full of people on the fourth. Nearly everybody has a party on our cul-de-sac. I am tossing a couple pork shoulders and 15 - 20 slabs of ribs on the smoker. In previous years when there is little wind in the evening you barely across the street there is so much fireworks smoke and stuff is going off everywhere.

How much of a difference will it make having the 4th on a Saturday? Would you go to this much trouble if it was a weekday?

Plans for this weekend - not a lot. Didn't get a ticket for AC/DC in London!
Two weeks away so I am guessing a lot of washing π
Oh and I'm sure I will catch some of the tennis on the tv.
July 4th last year was when I landed in Las Vegas, for a weeks holiday, and went round to Stacia (now) Varga's for the evening and watched the fireworks from there. Which was a very nice surprise. It wasn't part of the plan originally, but Stacia very kindly invited me round.

If everything goes according to plan, I'll be moving to Atlanta this weekend. I'll have a whole city to explore.

Probably. The 4th is always a non-work day in the US and having large gatherings with burgers and/or ribs is a tradition for nearly everybody. Unless the 4th is on a Wednesday most people in the US have an extended weekend to accommodate the holiday. We have a long span in the US with few holidays so we tend to relax pretty heavily on the 4th.

First lesson in Atlanta jargon.... it's not called "Atlanta" by the locals... it's called "Hot-lanta". π

I liked her further comments on twitter about how she should have known better with a name like hers not to tweet it!
